Thirteen liposuction procedures, each with its own plan, timing and recovery page.

Abdominal Liposuction
The abdomen, love handles, and bra line treated as one 360 degree circle, through hidden 2mm openings and a same-day discharge.

Whole Body Liposuction
Several areas, one design, one surgery. Abdomen, arms, and thighs shaped as a single connected line, with stem cell care.

Arm Liposuction
Upper arms slimmed with a 270 degree design through a single hidden armpit incision, in about 2 hours under sedation.

Thigh Liposuction
Inner, outer, front, and back thigh shaped as one continuous circle, from a single micro-incision hidden at the tailbone.

Love Handle Liposuction
Flank fat that ignores diet, removed through hidden 2mm incisions. A smoother waist curve with stem cell-supported recovery.

Double Chin Liposuction
Under-chin fat removed in about 1 hour through micro openings below the ear. A defined V-line, with stitches out on day 5.

Revision Liposuction
Correction of uneven, asymmetric, or over-suctioned liposuction from other clinics, with stem cell fat grafting when needed.

Male Chest Liposuction
Puffy chest fat treated through a hidden armpit incision, about 2 hours per area. A flatter, firmer-looking male chest line.

Back Liposuction
Bra line rolls and shoulder blade area contoured in a 1 to 2 hour sedation procedure, for a smooth back in fitted tops and dresses.

Neck Liposuction
Fat cleared from the jaw-to-neck angle in about 1 hour. A sharper profile through micro openings hidden below the ear.

Calf Liposuction
Liposuction for fat-dominant calves only, after a muscle-versus-fat test. Led by a surgeon who wrote a book on calf aesthetics.

Knee Liposuction
Inner knee and kneecap fat pads removed in a 1 to 2 hour sedation procedure, opening the gap between the knees for a longer leg line.

Mons Pubis Liposuction
Discreet contouring of the pubic mound. A 1 to 2 hour sedation procedure with hidden 2mm incisions, blended into the lower abdomen line.
What Stem Cell Liposuction in Korea Means
At TheLINE, every liposuction includes your own stem cells. During surgery, part of the removed fat goes to the Cell Matrix Lab inside the clinic building. There, the lab separates the stem cell-rich layer of your own fat in about 45 minutes and places it back into the treated area. TheLINE reports less bruising, swelling, and pain as a result, and patient reviews often echo that recovery felt faster than expected.
The surgical technique matters just as much. TheLINE's surgeons remove fat from the middle layer only. The layer just under your skin and the deep layer near muscle stay in place. This protects the stem cells in your remaining fat and helps keep the surface smooth.
- Hidden 2mm incisions placed in natural skin creases
- A long cannula, up to 100cm, so fewer incisions cover more area
- Fresh stem cells prepared on-site, never shipped to an outside lab
- Since 2023, every liposuction at TheLINE includes fresh stem cells
Honest note: stem cells support recovery, but they do not remove risk. Bruising and swelling are normal, the first three days are the hardest, and contour irregularity (dents or waves in the surface) is a known risk of any liposuction.
Choosing One Area or Combining Neighbors
Fat does not follow neat borders. Treating one zone alone can leave a visible step between treated and untreated areas. That is why TheLINE plans in circles rather than patches. Abdomen 360, for example, covers the abdomen, love handles, and bra line in one session.
A single small area is still the right call in many cases: a double chin, the knees, or a buffalo hump. In consultation, TheLINE's surgeons look at your whole line and tell you honestly whether one area is enough or whether to combine neighbors.
| Area | Time (approx.) | Anesthesia | Incision points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Abdomen 360 (abdomen, love handles, bra line) | About 3 hours | Sedation | Pelvic crease and tailbone |
| Arm 270 | About 2 hours | Sedation | Hidden in the armpit |
| Thigh 360 | About 3 hours | Sedation | Micro-incision at the tailbone |
| Face and double chin | About 1 hour | Sedation | Micro openings below the ear |
| Male chest | About 2 hours per area | Sedation | Hidden 2mm incisions |
| Special areas (shoulder blade, buffalo hump, knee, ankle, mons pubis) | 1 to 2 hours | Sedation | Nearest natural crease |
| Revision liposuction | Case by case | Sedation or general | Planned per case |
Times above are clinic estimates for typical cases. Your surgery may differ, and the exact plan is set in your in-person consultation.
What Every Surgical Plan Includes
Quotes for liposuction in Korea are hard to compare because different clinics include different things. At TheLINE, the items below are part of every liposuction plan, whichever area you choose.
- A board-certified anesthesiologist in the operating room for the entire surgery
- Pre-op screening with 50 to 100 blood tests, including allergy checks
- Fresh stem cells, separated in the in-house Cell Matrix Lab and returned to the treated area
- SD autologous transfusion system, so your own blood is used if any is needed
- A compression garment, worn full time for 3 days and then part time
- Stitch removal around day 7 (day 5 for the face)
- Two aftercare visits with LED and high-frequency care
There is no hospital stay. You go back to your hotel the same day and return for check-ups. Desk work is usually possible in about one week.
How to Compare Clinics for Liposuction in Korea
TheLINE will not tell you it is the best clinic in Korea. No clinic can prove that claim. What TheLINE can do is share the four questions every patient should ask, anywhere they consult.
- Ask who actually operatesMarketing photos may not show your surgeon. Confirm the operating surgeon's name and experience. At TheLINE, Dr. Jaeho Cho has 31 years of experience and 40,000+ personally performed cases, and Dr. Yuseok Jeong has 32 years.
- Ask about liposuction case volumeGeneral surgery numbers can hide a thin liposuction record. TheLINE reports 80,000+ liposuction cases since 2007, recorded by the clinic itself.
- Ask who manages the anesthesiaSedation is safest with a specialist watching only you. Ask whether a board-certified anesthesiologist is present for the whole surgery, as Dr. Miran Park is at TheLINE.
- Ask what happens after surgeryRecovery care decides much of your experience. Ask what aftercare is included and how the clinic responds if healing is slower than expected. TheLINE includes two aftercare visits and stays reachable by messenger.
Certifications are a useful cross-check too. TheLINE held JCI accreditation from 2015 to 2018, one of the few Korean plastic surgery clinics to earn it. The clinic has held ISO 9001 since 2009 and is government-registered for international patients.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine several body areas in one surgery?
Often, yes. Adjacent zones are commonly treated together, such as Abdomen 360 covering the abdomen, love handles, and bra line in about 3 hours. Whether a combination is safe and useful for you is decided in TheLINE's consultation, based on your health screening.
How much does liposuction cost in Korea?
There is no single price, because the cost of liposuction in Korea depends on the areas treated, your body, and what the plan includes. TheLINE does not publish prices. Send photos by WhatsApp, LINE, or WeChat and the clinic replies with a personal quote that already covers anesthesia staffing, the stem cell step, and two aftercare visits.
Will my skin be loose or uneven after liposuction?
It can happen. Contour irregularity and loose skin are real risks with any liposuction. TheLINE lowers the risk by suctioning the middle fat layer only and by using a long cannula for even coverage. If your skin is already loose, the surgeon may recommend lifting instead of, or with, liposuction.
Is the anesthesia a full general anesthetic?
Usually not. Most areas use sedation, not deep general anesthesia. You sleep comfortably while Dr. Miran Park, TheLINE's board-certified anesthesiologist, monitors your vital signs in real time. General anesthesia is reserved for select cases, such as some revision surgeries.
Can foreigners get liposuction in Korea?
Yes. Korea registers clinics that may treat international patients, and TheLINE is registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The clinic plans liposuction in Korea for foreign patients by messenger first, so your surgery and follow-up fit into one trip of about 7 to 10 days.
What is revision liposuction?
Revision liposuction corrects problems from a previous surgery elsewhere, such as dents, waves, or too much or too little fat removed. TheLINE plans each case individually after an in-person exam, under sedation or general anesthesia.
How soon after surgery can I fly home?
Most international patients plan around 7 to 10 days in Korea, so stitches are out and both aftercare visits are done before the flight. Confirm your exact timing with your surgeon, since it depends on the areas treated.
